Judy's Food Preferences

On a previous post, I told you about  my weight loss journey.  Now, after losing 40 lbs., I thought I would share this.  It's probably not as fast as some would like, but, it is healthy.  My goal was 1 pound a week.  I was just happy if the number kept going down:) 

Important:  Eat something every couple of hours, don't let yourself get hungry.  It doesn't have to be a lot, just something to keep your blood sugar level stable.

Oikos Vanilla Greek Yogurt
 Blueberries,
Brown Rice,
Black Beans (or any beans),
Sweet Potatoes,
Oatmeal,
Flax seed,
Cinnamon,
Bread Rounds,
Roasted Sweet Potato Chunks (Schwan's).
Yellow, Orange and Red Sweet Bell Peppers,
Red Onions,
Zucchini,
yellow squash,
 Flat Pretzels,
Any crackers under 3 grams of fat, and doesn't say enriched flours
 Raisins/Seeds/nuts (Walgreen's brand)
Chicken,
Fish,
occasional lean red meat,
Asparagus,
Spinach,
Artichokes
Whole mushrooms
Quinoa,
couscous,
Ambrosia Apples
Banana  
Laughing Cow Cheese
Parmesan (on everything)
Grand Salsa (with corn and beans) Hyvee brand
Dark Chocolate:  (Every time you feel like you have to have something sweet, or hungry for something, just don't know what?)  Have one square and wait 15 minutes before you have another.

Exceptions:  Every morning I have Fat Free Vanilla Creamer in my coffee and I haven't cut out a glass of a Reisling in the evening. 

Favorite fast suppers:
Veggie Pizza
Whole grain pizza crust (comes in a package of 2,  in pizza section, no refrigeration)
Pizza Sauce (check label for fat content)
Artichokes
Red onions
Mushrooms
