Puerto Rico Adventures

Day One (leaving Fairmont) and Day two (traveling)
Hi everyone,  This is Jukebox (Judy) and Charlie Ann's (Sharla) amazing venture to Puerto Rico for Tate and Paola's wedding!  I arrived at Dave's in Cedar Rapids around 1:00 p.m., and spent a wonderful day with two of my favorite people, Olivia and Grant.  We started out going to Olivia's swimming lesson, my she is doing well!  and then went to "fruitzen" for a snow cone.  When we got back I got a tour of the area on the golf cart.  My oh my, those two can really drive that thing!  We took a walk in the ravine and took some pictures.
I will be doing these entries with my new ipad, so if some things seem a little weird, that is the reason.  It will be fun playing with it on this trip.  The only problem is downloading pictures, thank goodness Sharla will be bringing her computer, so I can download pics on that and then transfer it to the ipad.  We will see.....
Day two: traveling
Dave and the kids drropped us off at the airport in plenty of time for departure.  The first flight was just an hour and a half, piece of cake!  We had a three hour layover, which went quite fast.  We ate at a very nice restaurant (Pappadeaux) and had a seafood cobb salad.  It was our main and only meal of the day (besides oatmeal).  We then emailed and charged our batteries for the long flight.  Actually the flight was not bad.  I watched a good movie on the plane "The Best Exotic Mangolia Hotel " (well Jukebox liked it, since she brought along her Boze earphones, but Charlie Ann had a pair from the plane and only one ear worked, and that didn
t work very well, and couldn
t hear iti good enough to get the drift:) and played solitaire the rest of the time.  I sat in the middle seat  between two guys.  The guy on my right was from Puerto Rico and a very nice gentleman.  The guy on my left was probably in his twenty's, wearing a baseball cap sittting beh8ind his parents.  They were going to his sisters wedding.  He probably had a little case of ADHD, couldn
t stay in his seat for very long, but okay.  Sharle satt in the middle seatt between a 6th grader (she just can't get away from them) and a 10th grader.  They were quiet and very good travelers (thank goodness!!)  We arrived in San Juan right on schedule 10:30ish, and found our luggage with no problem.  Went to the taxi stand, and got right on the taxi, and he took us to the Andalucia Guest house, our first hotel.  This was definitely in the flavor of San Juan, Charlie Ann wss a little nnervous about the neighborhood, and wondered if we were going tto be left on the street corner with no where to go, but we made it. A quaint little place with a small room (and I mean very small) but with a clean bed and a power strip for charging, what more could a person need!
Well, when we get to Rincon,I will download my pictures, but for now this will have to do.  Miss everyone back home, but am looking forward to our adventure!
Love ya,
Jukebox & Charlie Ann
